QNAP [ Twonky Official ] [ 8.5.1] DLNA Server [ Trial ]

Which Twonky version would I require for a TAS-268 QNAP? According to the specs its a ARM V7 dual core. I didn't want to go testing them all as I have a somewhat working version in 8.2.1 (but it has bugs such as videos appearing in folders when the video isn't actually in that folder). I want to try a newer version to see if it resolves the issues I'm having.

no one knows, but you could have tried both arm versions by now and seen for yourself which one works, there are only two other versions in the OP.

Twonky themselves are due to release a new Twonky version soon (maintenance release) best to try and ask support@twonky.com, they maybe able to help tell you which one from here: http://www.twonkyforum.com/downloads/8.4/

you will need to buy a license however.

The issue is that the twonky version I have installed right now is no longer available to install - it was pulled from the qnap apps selection. If I try to install these and neither work, I no longer have a viable version of twonky to run on my qnap box. That is why I didn't try it.

Rillithain a dit:

the only people that "could" help you is Twonky Support.

Also have you tried asking QNAP for the 8.21 QPKG for your nas?

here are some 8.21 versions:

x86 http://download.qnap.com/QPKG/TwonkyMedia_8.2.1.0_x86_20160406.zip
arm x19 http://download.qnap.com/QPKG/TwonkyMedia_8.2.1.0_arm-x19_20160406.zip
arm x31 http://download.qnap.com/QPKG/X31/TwonkyMedia_8.2.1.0_arm-x31_20160406.zip
arm x41 http://download.qnap.com/QPKG/TwonkyMedia_8.2.1.0_arm-x41_20160406.zip
ce53xx http://download.qnap.com/QPKG/QPKG_CE53XX/TwonkyMedia_8.2.1.0_x86_ce53xx_20160406.zip

That is the one I currently have installed, but its flaky.. I have to uninstall and reinstall every so often to clear out lots of artifacts (files that appear in folders that aren't actually in that folder, or files that don't exist still appearing).

I misunderstood - I thought that this was the right forum.. as I saw the posts from Qoolbox that made it seem that he was the developer (even to the point of fixing errors). I've emailed twonky support now then.

In case anyone else comes here with a TAS-268, the version you need is the ts-x41 platform. Twonky support helped me identify the platform required from my currently running version and from there they told me which is the right compatible one.

thank for the notification

just test it.. but seems i still cannot register .. very weird.. (even with the offical qpkg)

i am uploading my QTWonky x64 version and added the official Twonky (from Twonky Team ) on the repo

Strange... i have valid licence purchase for a 6.3 version was working until 8.3...

but cant register anymore when clicking on setting.. tried 3 different account for registration.. i am stuck

Only thing I can suggest is check you license with https://smartlynx.lynxtechnology.com/user/login.php if it looks ok, then raise a support call with Twonky.

Problem while using the latest Twonky on my QNAP NAS.
Im using QNAP TS-251 with Firmware QTS 4.3.3 and Twonky 8.4.2 x64.
Bevor updating the QNAP Firmware to 4.3.3 i used Twonky since a long time (it runs perfect), now i must use this version an did buy the licence key.
Twonky runs, but when my NAS was rebooted my Twonky lost all settings.

Whats wrong?
What can i do to fix this Problem (other Version?).

Thank You for your Post, i tried the TwonkyEU version. But the Version there is also not so good. The EUversion has a very high CPU Load after the scanningprocess 99-100% ;-(

Does Twonky 8.3 Working with Qnap firmware 4.3.3 as it currently does work with 4.3.2.

I installed this package on firmware 4.3.2 - TwonkyServerEU_8.3_x86_64.qpkg and it works fine.

Will I need to update the license to Twonly 8.4.2 if I update to firmware 4.3.3 from 4.3.2 ????
