About :

This software creates a Torznab (with nZEDb category numbering) and TorrentPotato API server on your machine. Torznab enables software such as Sonarr to access data from your favorite indexers in a similar fashion to rss but with added features such as searching. TorrentPotato is an interface accessible to CouchPotato.

Jackett works as a proxy server: it translates queries from apps (Sonarr, SickRage, CouchPotato, Mylar, etc) into tracker-site-specific http queries, parses the html response, then sends results back to the requesting software. This allows for getting recent uploads (like RSS) and performing searches. Jackett is a single repository of maintained indexer scraping & translation logic - removing the burden from other apps.

We were previously focused on TV but are working on extending searches to allow for searching other items such as movies, comics, and music.

Thanks to the developers of Jackett - much appreciated.

I have been having an issue for the last few weeks whereby Jacket keeps crashing/is inaccessible on my QNAP device.

When i navigate to the url it gives: "This site can’t be reached" message.

If I uninstall and re-install it works again, but with a day it stops working again. The version is: V0.22.179. Jackett 81

When it stops working, Sonarr can no longer use the indexers.

Any help appreciated.

Regards,

Omar

I am having the same issue, from my logs I deduced it's because Jackett tries to update itself but fails and doesn't restart itself.
Trying to run the updater myself I get the error /share/CACHEDEV1_DATA/.qpkg/JackettdotNET82/tmp/JackettUpdate-v0.22.267-638556138168603506/Jackett/JackettUpdater: /lib/libstdc++.so.6: version `GLIBCXX_3.4.21' not found (required by /share/CACHEDEV1_DATA/.qpkg/JackettdotNET82/tmp/JackettUpdate-v0.22.267-638556138168603506/Jackett/JackettUpdater).
Looking in the Apache83 folder I found it does contain libstdcc++.so.6, version 25, so that could be a related issue.
@QoolBox would you be able to fix this?

Hi QoolBox, I have been in contact with QNAP_Stephane, and also created an issue on Jackett Github. The updated qpkg package with ELF does not work for the updater because each new release has a built in JAcketUpdater file that requires the updated libc library.

Apparently the only way to fix this is by the JackettUpdater package that Stephane has built and published, though it does not work on my old NAS running QTS 4.3.4 and an old version of Apache81 (it does not detect current/released versions and in consequence does not update).

I have reported the problem on the Discord channel and am currently helping to debug.
